Check-in – an evaluation in three parts

Feb 2, 2022 | 0 comments

Hosting all activities of VAMOS virtually brings with its own challenges and adapting to a
completely virtual development makes the necessity of support for participants ever more vital.
This was the goal of the check-in performed during the end of 2021 which aimed to gather
feedback from teachers and coordinators participating in the development of VAMOS courses.
The evaluation was conducted in three parts: individual e-mail interviews with the project
chairs, a survey sent out to all teachers and an open meeting. The interviews and survey proved
to be a useful tool to figure out quirks in development and created a good steppingstone for
further discussion and observations during the meeting.

The initial part of the meeting showcased the results of the feedback so far and reflected on how
to address and incorporate responses into the project’s development. As a follow-up on
comments in the survey, a critical-friend meeting will be hosted with UNICollaboration to aid
teachers in addressing expressed concerns. Following the project update an open discussion was
held to provide an opportunity for any additional thoughts or evaluations. The discussion
proved to be a forum for appreciation of the project’s successes, as well as a place to bring up
what areas could be improved upon for the benefit of participants and VAMOS as a whole.
