Within the framework of the VAMOS Project-Virtual Exchange to Tackle Wicked Problems: Latin American and European Collaboration on Education for Sustainable Development (VAMOS) – Virtual Exchange to address complex sustainability problems-International Collaboration on Education for Sustainable Development, co-financed by the program Erasmus+ was held last Tuesday, November 22, the Masterclass: Promoting Transformative Learning through Virtual Exchange.

The VAMOS project brings together six Latin American universities (Brazil and Honduras), two European universities (Uppsala and Padua) and the UNICollaboration, an NGO with leading experts in virtual exchange. In the case of our country, the universities involved are the Francisco Morazán National Pedagogical University (UPNFM), the Technological University of Honduras (UTH) and the National University of Forest Sciences (UNACIFOR).

Among the activities proposed in the capacity building process, which is one of the primary objectives of the project, was the joint management of a Masterclass whose purpose was to promote virtual exchange as an innovative pedagogy. For this reason, the authorities and administrative staff of public and private universities, educational associations and academic entities were invited to the virtual event to address and emphasize the importance of managing internationalization experiences and transformative learning.

The agenda developed during the Masterclass included the participation of two specialists in the area of virtual exchange, Jon Rubin, founder of COIL Consulting (Collaborative Online International Learning) and Teresa Quindos, representative of UNIcollaboration.
